Thinking of visiting Spielplatz for the first time? We’re pleased to welcome new visitors
during the summer season. Please read the information below before booking so you
know what to expect.
Before you book
Please read our Code of Conduct before booking to make sure Spielplatz is the righ
place for you. We are a family-friendly naturist site, and inappropriate or sexual
behaviour is not tolerated. Anyone behaving in this way will be asked to leave.
Dogs & other pets
Unfortunately, we do not allow dogs or other pets on site, with the exception of registered
Assistance Dogs.
Summer Season
We welcome visitors from 1 April to 30 September, and all visits must be booked at least
24 hours in advance.
To book, please contact us by phone or email using the details on our contact page.
If you email, please include:
- your full name
- the names of anyone visiting with you
- whether you have visited us before
- a few words about your naturist experience, such as whether you are new to naturism or have visited other clubs
If you phone and reach our answerphone, please leave:
- your name & contact details
- your reason for calling
- whether you have visited before
We will get back to you as soon as possible to confirm your booking, unless we are
already fully booked for that day.
What to bring
Please bring:
- photo ID
- your BN card, if you have one
- a towel
- some cash if you would like refreshments from our self-service snacks area
If you can no longer attend, or think you may be late, please let us know as soon as
possible. A member of staff will be expecting you, and visitors who do not arrive without
notice may not be accepted for future bookings.
Arriving at Spielplatz
Please arrive between 10am and 1pm, when Reception is open.
When you arrive:
- press the button at the gate and someone will let you in
- Reception is directly in front of you
- a member will welcome you and ask to see your photo ID
We take a photocopy of your ID for our records only. We do not share visitor information
with other organisations.
You will also be asked to:
- complete and sign a short form
- read and sign our Code of Conduct
- take a selfie while you are in the office and send it to us at that time, so that we have a clear and recent photo of you on the day of your visit for identification purposes if needed
If you do not have a camera phone, a member of our team will take a photo of you in the
office using our digital camera.
Payment can be made by
.After check-in, we will give you an information sheet with a map, explain the facilities, and
answer any questions.
During your visit
If you arrive by car, you are welcome to undress by your vehicle if you prefer. You can also
walk into the grounds, choose a place by the pool or on the lawns, and undress there.
Please note:
- we do not have changing rooms or lockers
- you should always sit on your towel
The clubhouse includes a comfortable sun lounge, which is especially useful on cooler
days.
Food and drink
The clubhouse is open 7 days a week and includes:
- a fridge
- microwave
- kettle
- tea and coffee
- cold drinks
- a small selection of snacks
This area is self-service and works on an honesty basis, so it is cash only.
You are welcome to bring your own food.
If the bar is open, payment can be made by cash or card. The bar is usually open on weekends and Friday evenings, depending on demand.
Facilities
- Hot Tub – open 7 days a week
- Outdoor heated swimming pool – open daily from 1 April to 30 September, from 7.30am to around 8pm
Please note that the sauna is currently unavailable.
All day visitors must leave by 7pm.
Camping and motorhome stays
If you are booking a camping or motorhome stay, please include the same visitor details as
above, plus:
- your arrival date
- departure date
If you are camping, please tell us:
- whether you are bringing your own tent or hiring one
- whether you need an electric hook-up
Hire tents include an airbed, but you will need to bring your own bedding.
If you are bringing a caravan or motorhome, please let us know:
- the approximate size
- whether you need an electric hook-up
Please note:
- we do not have chalets or caravans for hire
- information about our glamping bell tents is available separately
Our preferred arrival time for holiday bookings is during Reception hours, 10am to 1pm. If
you are travelling from farther away and cannot arrive then, please keep us updated with
your estimated arrival time so we can arrange for someone to greet you.
On your departure day, please leave by 11am. If you would like to stay longer, a day visit
fee will apply.
Membership
There is no limit to how many times you can visit as a guest.
After a few visits, you are welcome to ask about annual membership, although there is
currently a waiting list.
